Swisslog's TransCar Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) safely, accurately and continuously transport a variety of bulk materials throughout the hospital using a revolutionary contour-following laser guidance system. With the ability to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, TransCar gives hospitals more flexibility on when things can be delivered and provides more timely deliveries, improving turnaround times.
Each TransCar AGV can carry up to 1,000 pounds, but the larger vehicles are primarily used to transport meal trays, laundry and bio-hazard waste.
