The 2012 Beetle features a lower, more aggressive stance. The increases in width and length allow for better handling and increased interior space. The 2.5L Beetle has a starting MSRP of $ 18,995 plus destination fees, and comes standard with a split folding rear seat, aux-in for portable audio players, a leather steering wheel, unique and customizable17-inch alloy wheels, and an eight-speaker audio system. Attractive options include a kaeferfach additional glovebox, Bluetooth? technology, iPod? connectivity, heated front seats, three-color interior ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, the Fender? Premium Audio System, and leatherette seating surfaces.

The 2.0L Turbo Beetle, which has a starting MSRP of $ 23,395, comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with the option of Volkswagen?s DSG? dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition to the standard equipment found on the Beetle, this model adds Bluetooth? technology, iPod? connectivity, three-color ambient lighting, larger brakes with red calipers, the kaeferfach additional glovebox, sport seating surfaces, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, foglights, three additional gauges n the dashboard, and alloy pedals.

The all-new Beetle is covered under the no-charge Carefree Maintenance Program. All scheduled maintenance is covered for the length of the New Vehicle Warranty?three years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

European Automated Material Handling Leader Cimcorp Acquires North American RMT Robotics

Finland-based Cimcorp Oy (cimcorp.com), a leading supplier of automated material handling and picking solutions, has acquired RMT Robotics (rmtrobotics.com), a Canada-based manufacturer and integrator of innovative robotic material handling systems.

The newly formed group offers world-class case picking and advanced order fulfillment solutions, robotic gantry technology and related software and controls as well as a line of fully autonomous, mobile AGVs.

"The merger will better serve our customers around the world in the tire industry as well as in the warehousing, distribution, food and beverage markets, which are the focus areas of the combined group's business activities," said Markku Vesa, managing director and president, Cimcorp. "Both Cimcorp and RMT Robotics remain dedicated to providing best-of-breed integrated solutions and will continue to support current product lines, warranties and service contracts."

RMT Robotics, located in the greater Toronto area, will continue trading under its current name as a subsidiary of Cimcorp Oy, retaining existing management and staff. Pickard, who has acquired a 20% interest in Cimcorp Oy, will continue to serve as president of RMT Robotics and joins Cimcorp's board of directors.

The estimated proforma revenue of the group for this year is approximately EUR 50 million (CAD 70 million) as per the date of the closing. The combined total number of employees is over 200, with the majority working in design, development and systems as well as project engineering. The Canadian personnel represent 25% of the total figure.
